Radio Pictures is co-production partner with Mark Haynes Productions for the dramatic podcast series “Hindsight: The Day Before,” slated for release in 2024. Ted is Technical Director, Editor, Sound Designer, and Producer. He designed innovative recording and production methods to create the finest blend of audio drama and cinema-quality immersive sound.
Now in production, Ted is applying his signature 3D storytelling style to the true-crime podcast series, “12 Murders- That Changed the Course of History and How They’re All Connected” that immersively takes listeners back to 1963 to witness the evidence-backed, and shocking plot to assassinate President Kennedy. “12 Murders” is co-hosted by Ted and investigative journalist Lamar Waldron, author of “The Hidden History of the JFK Assassination.”
Ted created hundreds of radio advertising campaigns for major Hollywood film and television launches, and blue chip companies in New York.
Ted directed high profile, and “Audie” award-winning audio books for Penguin Random House and Simon & Schuster, and was sound designer for the video game “Pyst,” the successful parody of the hit video game “Myst.”
His sideline in comedy entertainment includes hosting a comedy improv radio show on New York’s WBAI-FM, which led him to Hollywood to work with top comedy performers. Ted and Firesign Theatre’s Phil Proctor co-host the “Sexy Boomer Show,” a live, comedy and conversation radio show and podcast on KPFK-FM in Los Angeles.
As a journalist, Ted produced national newscasts for NBC and Mutual Radio Networks in Washington, DC., the Peabody Award-winning radio program “Heat” on National Public Radio, and CNN-TV’s Washington and New York bureaus.
Ted directed the critically acclaimed documentary, “Mau Mau Sex Sex” which played in prestigious film festivals worldwide and theatrically in 20 major U.S. cities.
In the cosmic scheme of things, Ted enjoys a dual interest in space exploration and the modern UFO era. He co-founded and edited “World Space Report” radio news heard nationally and in 14 countries. He conducted hundreds of interviews, including with several moon-walking astronauts. Ted also conducts field research and witness interviews in global UFO hot spots, slated for an upcoming series, “Out There With Ted.”
